Rest in peace

This baby died a hundred and fifty years ago. His nearest relatives are long dead, obviously. I don’t even know if his parents had other descendants who still live in the area. Being buried in the ground with a headstone seems somewhat permanent. This has lasted a hundred and fifty years. Richard the Third spent over five hundred years in an unmarked grave, part of that time under a car parking lot.Until recently this kid was doing better than a king of England. Some people are very attached to being remembered. But memories fade. The people who knew you die also. Even stone crumbles eventually.
