Oh What a Lovely War, the flip-side

This is the entrance Manzanar Relocation Center.
It is located on California Highway 395, one of the most beautifully scenic roads the United States, especially if you are a fan of desolate beauty. During the Second World War, Japanese-Americans were forcibly removed from their homes in places like Los Angeles and the Fillmore District in San Francisco, farms and small towns in the central valley, and transported to this spot on the outer edges of the back of beyond.
